Institute for Leadership Development

The Institute for Leadership Development (ILD) enhances the skills of leaders working in child welfare and juvenile justice. It helps leaders adapt to be transparent and promote racial equity and social justice. ILD is a partnership between ACS and the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College.

Leadership Competency Framework

ILD’s programs are based on a leadership competency framework that was developed by the National Child Welfare Workforce Institute. This framework defines standards of excellence for child welfare and youth justice leaders through values-based principles that help them lead people through change and in context to achieve results.
