Each year, HHC’s Nursing Excellence Award selects honorees from a group of highly qualified candidates whose professional and personal commitment exemplifies these very attributes. Competition is keen and the six nurses that have been chosen this year represent clinical knowledge, outstanding skill, dedication to superior care, and compassion for others in ways that are truly exceptional. A very special award – the HHC Nursing Champion – was also introduced this year and the first recipient was Josephine Bolus, longtime HHC Board member, nurse, and nursing advocate.
