The Department of Dental Medicine provides comprehensive care for diseases and disorders of the mouth, jaws and teeth. This care is provided in a modern treatment center with all of the equipment needed to deliver comprehensive general dental care.
Our facility is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and delivers care by appointment. To make an appointment, call (718) 883-3270 during regular office hours. Emergency patients are treated on a first-come, first-served basis also during regular office hours. The demand for our services is significant and there may be a wait for comprehensive care appointments.
When you come for your first appointment bring two forms of identification, an active insurance card (if you have one) and a list of current medications. If you do not have insurance bring $40.00 to cover the possible cost of your visit. Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled visit for processing.
The Department of Dental Medicine also has an educational component. We provide advanced general practice training to recent graduates of American and Canadian dental schools. Each year we accept five candidates into our one-year program and give them an opportunity to treat a diversified patient population and deliver high quality dental care. In order to qualify for our program you will be selected from a group of candidates who applied through the PASS application process. For additional information about our training program you can call (718) 883-4044.
