The Queens Hospital Center Auxiliary is a voluntary organization whose primary mission is to raise unrestricted funds that can be used to enhance the care of QHC patients. Since its revival as a key fundraiser of the new Queens Hospital Center in 2002, the QHC Auxiliary has raised thousands of dollars through various fundraising events -- bake sales, book sales, crafts and vendor sales.
This 25-member organization works diligently to meet and surpass the challenge of ensuring that enough funds are raised to continue to support its mission. Among their credits, the Auxiliary has purchased a patient transport ambulette to help patients travel to different healthcare facilities in our network. They also have purchased cutting-edge medical equipment for various departments within the hospital, including a portable transcraneal Doppler unit for the Neurology Department, a voice analyzer for the Hearing and Speech Department, a hydraulic worktable for the Rehabilitation Unit and recovery room monitors, as well as assisting in the acquisition of play cubes for the Pediatric Clinic waiting areas. The Auxiliary focuses on giving special attention to the hospital's indigent population through social services and emergency needs.
The Queens Hospital Center Auxiliary is a non-profit 501C organization and a public charity. To make a financial contribution to the Auxiliary, you may call (718) 883-2134, or send donations to Queens Hospital Center Auxiliary c/o Controller's Office, 82-68 164th Street, Jamaica, New York 11432.
