The Queens Hospital Center Auxiliary is a voluntary organization whose primary mission is to raise funds that can be used to enhance the excellent care of QHC patients.    Our gifts to the hospital help to ensure that Queens Hospital Center is ready to serve our community with cutting-edge medical technology and innovative programs which enhance patient care and comfort.

Since its revival as a key fundraiser of the new Queens Hospital Center in 2002, the QHC Auxiliary has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through various fundraising events held throughout the year including a spectacular gala.  These events offer members many opportunities to become involved, meet new people and take on new leadership roles. 

This organization works tirelessly to meet and surpass the challenge of ensuring that sufficient funds are raised to support the mission of Queens Hospital Center:  To extend equally to all New Yorkers, regardless of their ability to pay, comprehensive health services of the highest quality in an atmosphere of humane care, dignity and respect.  Patients are always at the center of everything we do and we take great pride in making a positive difference for so many in need of quality healthcare.

Over the past two years, the Auxiliary has spent over $1 million on life-saving equipment and vital services for patients:

• Defibrillators used to treat life threatening heart conditions;
• A portable Phillips Echo Machine that can quickly deliver high tech bedside care to cardiology patients;
• A Sonosite Edge Ultrasound Machine that can quickly process premium imagery of lab results for babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU);
• A Phaco-Machine that allows surgeons in the operating room to perform safer cataract surgeries and handle a higher volume; and
• Many more items, programs and services to enhance patient care.

The Queens Hospital Center Auxiliary is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization and a public charity.  The Auxiliary meets once a month and if you are a resident of the communities served by the hospital center, you are welcomed and encouraged to join us and to participate in our fund raising efforts.  As a member of the Auxiliary, your experience and interests will contribute to our successful efforts

The Auxiliary will be sponsoring a Gala Celebration on April 15, 2016 in celebration of a major milestone in our history:  80 years of providing healthcare to Central and Southeastern Queens.   NOW is a wonderful time to join us and make your special contribution to this exciting event.
