Teen Center

Lincoln Hospital's Teen Center offers comprehensive, quality healthcare services to adolescents aged 12 years through 21 years in a nurturing and cheerful environment. The multidisciplinary team includes a physician specially trained in Adolescent Medicine, nurse, social worker, psychologist, adolescent health educator and nutritionist who collaborate to provide adolescent-centered health care where all components of the standard clinic visit are performed in the same patient room. Lincoln's Adolescent Program received national recognition for its successful program model: The National Association Public Hospital awarded this program with its 2008 Reducing Healthcare Disparities Award for Lincoln's achievement in improving access to care for Hispanic and Black adolescents.

Lincoln's Teen Center is dedicated to the health and well-being of adolescents. Recognizing that adolescents have different needs than younger children, our team of dedicated staff is here to assist adolescents with the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social challenges of transitioning into young adulthood. Consistent with recommendations from the New York State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's Healthy Teen Initiative, Lincoln provides confidential services to adolescents, including comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care, prevention of STD, teen pregnancy, rapid HIV screening, and comprehensive prenatal services. Our team of specialized and caring medical professionals respect patient confidentiality and always encourages ongoing, positive communication between adolescents and their families.

Easy Access
Access to Lincoln Hospital's Teen Center is easy. All services are located in a centralized area (1C-2), and an appointment is not needed. Teenagers are seen on the day of their visit by a specially trained adolescent health care team. Services are provided regardless of their parents' health insurance or immigration status.

Health Education and Preventive Care
As adolescents begin to make important health care decisions on their own, it is important that they receive the best health education and preventive care available. Lincoln Hospital's Teen Center provides adolescents with these essential tools. Our goal is to help young people stay healthy by guiding them through this dynamic transition from childhood to young adulthood.
