Diagnostic Services

Lincoln Medical Center uses the most advanced diagnostic imaging technologies in the country. The Radiology Department offers patients the latest diagnostic technologies to capture high-resolution images of organs within the body.
  • The new GE LightSpeed VCT, a 64-slice advanced CT system, scans the body and blood vessels in seconds. It takes a multitude of images of the human heart in seconds for diagnostic review.
  • Patients whose bones many be weak can take the DEXA bone density test that scans for osteoporosis. We provide patients full-service breast imaging, which includes screening mammography, ultrasound, diagnostic mammography, and breast biopsy, when needed.

New Digital Biplane System

One of the newest and most advanced imaging technologies in the country is the Digital Biplane System – this all-digital X-Ray Imaging System helps doctors diagnose and treat cardiovascular, neurovascular and other conditions.

Our new digital biplane system takes images of hard-to-see small blood vessels and anatomy. It takes full size images of the patient's sides and front anatomy simultaneously. This new technology expands our diagnostic and treatment options for many interventional procedures such as stent placement, and blood vessel interventions. It increases treatment options for minimally invasive surgery, cancer, trauma and many other conditions. The system allows physicians to see clearly enough to use small medical devices – such as catheters, stents, and guide wires – while performing a wide range of image-guided treatments.

Breast Cancer Diagnostic Tests

Lincoln's Breast Center provides women with the latest diagnostic tests available to diagnose breast cancer. Your doctor will decide which tests are best for you. These tests include: clinical breast examination, screening and diagnostic mammograms, needle breast biopsies and ultrasonographies.

The Hospital has received accreditation for the Breast Center from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons. We are the only NAPBC accredited Breast Center in New York City and is 1 of 5 in New York State. Accreditation by the NAPBC is given only to those centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the best in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and performance review.

Gastroenterology
Lincoln Medical Center's "For You, For Life!" Colorectal Cancer Screening and Outreach Program provides routine screening to individuals aged 50 and older. Our specialists use colonoscopies to detect polyps so that they could be removed before they become cancerous.
