Lincoln Medical Center
As a member of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, Lincoln Medical Center is committed to providing the highest quality of care for our patients and their families. Our web site offers information on the many resources available at Lincoln Medical Center and our Diagnostic and Treatment Centers—Morrisania and Segundo Ruiz Belvis.
Since our beginnings in 1839, Lincoln Hospital has worked to exceed our community’s highest expectation for compassionate, comprehensive health care. Our award-winning, 347-bed institution is a full service acute care hospital and a Premier Level 1 Trauma Center. Annually we provide more than 429,000 outpatient visits and more than 155,000 Emergency Department visits. Lincoln is home to the busiest single-site emergency department in the northeast region and the third busiest in the United States. Lincoln Medical Center is an academic affiliate of Weill Medical College of Cornell University and has a clinical affiliation with the Physicians Affiliation Group of New York, P.C. As one of the most qualified, modern and technologically advanced hospitals in the country, many of our programs are nationally recognized for outstanding clinical outcomes that meet or exceed established benchmarks.
It is our goal to provide our patients with the absolute best in healthcare delivery. New programs and services are continually developed with our patients and the community’s health needs in mind. In 2012, Lincoln received the prestigious 2012 American Health Association-McKesson Quest for Quality Finalist Award for leadership and innovation in quality improvement and safety, pointing to the great work done throughout the hospital. Lincoln is one of three HHC facilities that have achieved Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE) designation, making us a senior-friendly medical center. Our Diagnostic and Treatment Centers: Morrisania and Segundo Ruiz Belvis are designated federally qualified health centers and have created a culture of continuous improvement. And Lincoln is continually expanding its services with a brand new Emergency Department and a new in-patient psychiatry unit, both will be completed in 2013.
