Disability Service Facilitators (DSF)

Who We Are

Disability Service Facilitators, or "DSFs", are agency representatives who are committed to making our agencies more inclusive. We are liaisons to New Yorkers with disabilities, connecting them to City government and services.

What We Do

As DSFs, we coordinate our agencies' efforts to comply with and carry out our agencies' responsibilities under the ADA and other federal, state, and local laws and regulations concerning access to agency programs and services by persons with disabilities.

Under Local Law 27 of 2016, each City agency must appoint a DSF.

Who I Am

I have over 10 years of experience working with New Yorkers with disabilities and am passionate about equity and inclusion.

What I Do

In my current role, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many City agencies and mayoral units on different aspects of accessibility and inclusion. I’ve conducted numerous trainings, assisted in the development of an Accessible Events Guide, and proudly co-hosted our quarterly disability community update webinar.

I am excited to continue working with my colleagues in the Mayor’s Office, other City agencies and the disability community to make our events, programs, and services more accessible for everyone.

Fun Fact

Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, baking, and I am also a proud pet mom of Trixie (Cat), Snowy (Dog), and a Russian tortoise named Spanky.

A cheerful A I generated cartoon of Crystal sitting in her wheelchair surrounded by her crowned cat, her dog wearing a nurse's hat, and her Russian tortoise eating lettuce from his bowl.
