Resources for Unregistered Voters

In order to vote, you must be registered in your borough. You can register to vote by mail or in-person at your local borough office.

You can now find both your Early Voting and Election Day poll sites by using the Poll Site Locator. Your Early Voting and Election Day poll sites may not be the same, and may change from one election to another.

On Election Day, if you have any issues with accessibility or casting your ballot, you can contact the Board of Elections headquarters for your borough.

Absentee Ballot Voting

If you are unable to make it to the polls on Election Day because of your occupation, business, studies, travel, illness, disability, hospitalization, or you reside in a long-term care facility, you may vote by absentee ballot.

If you are a person with a disability that impacts your ability to fill out a paper ballot, you can request an accessible screen-readable electronic absentee ballot.

Early Voting

For ease of access, New Yorkers can vote early for nine consecutive days, before Election Day. For information on times visit the BOE Website.
