FDNY officials release 25-year report on the health impacts of rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center

At a Public Information Briefing on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, FDNY Commissioner Lillian Bonsignore, Chief of Department John Esposito and Chief Medical Officer David J. Prezant, released the 25-year report on the health impacts to FDNY members who took part in the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center in the aftermath of the September 11th terrorist attacks.
