In a new Public Service Announcement (PSA), the FDNY is reminding New Yorkers about important electrical safety information.
So far in 2026, there have been 29 fire deaths in New York City, which is up from the same time in 2025. Nine of the 29 fatalities have been from fires caused by electrical issues.
FDNY members will be participating in the 4th Annual Climb to SUMMIT on Sunday, April 19, at One Vanderbilt in Manhattan.
