The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) will hold a memorial service on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks and honor the 343 FDNY members who made the Supreme Sacrifice that day, as well as the FDNY members, active and retired who have since died from World Trade Center-related illnesses. The ceremony will be held at Staten Island University Hospital Community Park (FerryHawks Stadium) on Staten Island at 4:00 p.m. The ceremony can be viewed live on the Department’s website at www.nyc.gov/FDNY or HERE.
Credentialed members of the media are invited to attend the ceremony. Media must be in place by 3:30 p.m. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m.
