Permit Description

  • A permit is required to maintain or operate dry cleaning equipment that utilizes a Class II or Class III solvent.

Cost of Permit

  • $125.00

Permit Length

  • A FDNY inspector will visit the premise annually and perform an inspection prior to permit expiration

Application Requirements

  • NYC Department of Buildings approved plans for the dry cleaning system using Class II and III solvents are to be submitted to Fire Prevention Technology Management Unit for review.

  • FDNY Certificate of Fitness required:
    C-93  Supervision of Dry Cleaning Facilities
