Designated carters operate as subcontractors of CWZ awardees. They have been approved by DSNY and are authorized to collect commercial waste in particular zones under existing CWZ Award Agreements.
All designated carters and their awardees are responsible for complying with all applicable provisions of the New York City Administrative Code, the Rules of the City of New York and of award agreements, including all reporting, operational, safety and customer service requirements.
