Mayor's Scholarship Program

The Mayor’s Scholarship Program (MSP) is an opportunity for full-time New York City government employees, to pursue undergraduate and advanced degrees at local colleges/universities while remaining employed by the city.

For over 50 years, hundreds of applicants have been awarded scholarships through the program, thanks to the generosity of our participating colleges and universities.

Traditionally only servicing graduate scholarships, the 2026 launch of undergraduate scholarships provides civil servants the opportunity to now pursue undergraduate bachelor’s and associate degrees and receive financial assistance. All scholarship awards are determined and funded by the participating school.
