IDNYC Banking Access Campaign
IDNYC is a free form of identification available to all New York City residents 14 years of age and older, and is broadly accepted to access many services and benefits across the five boroughs of New York City. The Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) and Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) launched a public awareness campaign to encourage New Yorkers to use their IDNYC to open an account at participating banks or credit unions. The campaign includes advertisements in multiple languages in the city’s subway cars and buses, on bus shelters and telephone kiosks, online and in more than a dozen community and ethnic newspapers.
