Herald Square Plaza

Herald Square Plaza, located on Broadway between 34th and 35th Streets, is at the crossroads of some of the city’s busiest and most heavily used attractions, stores, and transportation hubs. The 34th Street Partnership (BID) and the Department of Transportation maintain the plaza and provide sanitation, security, horticulture, maintenance, movable furniture, umbrellas, and free restrooms for passerby.

Plaza Features

  • Colorful planters and baskets decorate the plaza
  • Street furniture, including tables, chairs, umbrellas and trash cans, are available for daily use and can be removed for an additional fee
  • Electricity is available for use for a small fee. Typically a generator is needed for larger events with greater power needs
