New Year's Eve Information

  Learn about street closures and no parking areas
• 
  Learn how to access Times Square if you are a resident, business owner, or will be attending a ticketed event
• 
  Viewing Areas fill up on a first-come, first-serve basis
• 
  Learn about bus reroutes and subway schedules
• 
  Review prohibited items before your arrival
• 
  Revelers will be outside for a long period of time. Dress for the weather
•

• 
  There are no public restrooms in Times Square during the celebration

Lights turn on around dusk

The Dyker Heights Christmas Lights will once again shine throughout their namesake Brooklyn neighborhood. Enjoy the splendid residential decorations and over-the-top lighting displays from 10th Avenue to 13th Avenue and from 82nd to 86th Street in the Dyker Heights area of Brooklyn.

Dyker Heights Lights Information

  Dyker Heights Lights takes place in a residential neighborhood. Please be respectful of your fellow New Yorkers
• 
  
  Check here for the latest weather updates. It will be cold! Dress appropriately.
• 
  
  Public restrooms will be NOT be available in the area
• 
  
  From Midtown:
  Take the R train at West 49th Street to 86th Street; Take the B1 Bus to 12th Avenue
  or
  Take the D Train at 47-50 Rockefeller Center to 18th Avenue; transfer to B1 Bus on 86th Street to 12th Avenue.
• 
  
  No vending is allowed on the streets or out of homes. Please do not sell or purchase any goods as you enjoy the lights.

Traffic Congestion Perimeter Area is from 82nd to 86th Streets, 10th to 13th Avenues

Prime Viewing Location is from 83rd and 84th Streets from 10th to 13th Avenues

No Vending from 81st to 86th Street, 10th to 13th Avenues
