ACS oversees a Respite Care program that serves youth and families across the five boroughs. The program provides 21-day respite services to PINS and juvenile justice-involved youth who are at risk of detention or placement because of family instability or conflict.
Youth currently in one of the following programs could be referred to the Respite program:
The respite program provides coaching, therapeutic, and support services to reduce conflicts, improve the family’s functioning, and help you manage your child’s behavior. Services may include parenting skills, mental health treatment, substance abuse, and/or domestic violence programs.
