Vaccine for All: City to Open Vaccine Site in Northeast Queens

Local site will increase access to COVID-19 vaccine for Queens residents

NEW YORK— Mayor Bill de Blasio today announced that the City will open a new vaccination site at the Korean Community Services in Bayside, Queens.

“Let's be clear: New York City has the capacity to do over a half a million vaccines a week,” said Mayor Bill de Blasio. "All we need is the supply to get this done. With our five-borough network of sites rapidly expanding, this new site will help us put shots in the arms of our Northeast Queens neighbors faster."

The new vaccine site hosted by Korean Community Services, operated by Centers Urgent Care, and located at 203-05 32nd Ave will build upon the existing five-borough network of vaccine access points open to the eligible public. This new vaccination site will offer more than 160 appointments per day and will be open 7 days a week, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Additional days and appointments will be available as supply increases citywide. Starting March 25, eligible New Yorkers can make an appointment at nyc.gov/vaccinefinder or by calling 877-VAX-4NYC.

“With the opening of another new community-based vaccine site in Queens, we’re continuing to expand our City’s large-scale vaccination capacity, including to communities hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services Melanie Hartzog. “This site will make it easier for Bayside and Queens residents, especially seniors and essential workers, to get the vaccine. And by increasing vaccine access through our five-borough network of vaccine sites while building trust through continued engagement across the five boroughs, we’re ensuring as many New Yorkers as possible can get vaccinated quickly as possible.”

Opening a vaccine site at the Korean Community Services center, located in Bayside, is especially important for our local seniors and immigrant community. We hope that all preparations will be made so that Northeast Queens residents can receive vaccinations smoothly and without much difficulty," said State Senator John Liu.

As we work towards New York's recovery, I urge all Northeast Queens residents to make an appointment and get the vaccine as they become eligible.
