Request a Mayoral commendation or greeting for a special event: If you would like to honor a person or organization for a significant achievement or milestone, or if you wish to request a letter from the Mayor or a welcome greeting for an event, you may request a Mayoral commendation or greeting. Requests (except for condolence notes) should be submitted at least 15 business days before you need the document in hand to ensure that we have time to review and consider your request. Please note that commendations, welcome greetings, and letters are only provided for events being held within the five boroughs of New York City.
