Call 911 for fire, police, or medical emergencies. 

Call 311 to get information about city government or to report problems that aren’t emergencies. 

If you’re having an event in New York City or would like to honor a person or organization for a significant achievement, you may request a Mayoral greeting. Requests (except for condolence notes) should be submitted at least 15 business days before you need the document in hand to ensure on-time delivery.
