Older Adult Employment Program by Department for the Aging (NYC Aging)


Prepare for employment and get placed in jobs across the City.

Overview

This program prepares you for employment through classes on computers, customer service, job-search techniques, resume-writing, and interviewing. You can also get on-the-job training and the opportunity to earn at least the minimum wage through placements at government agencies and nonprofits throughout the City.


Eligibility

Participants must:

  • Be 55 or older
  • Live in the five boroughs
  • Be unemployed
  • Be willing to learn new skills
  • Commit to actively seeking employment
  • Have a family income of less than 125% of the federal poverty level:
