HHC President Dr. Ram Raju Joins Board of American Hospital Association
HHC President Dr. Ram Raju Appointed to American Hospital Association Board of Trustees
HHC President Dr. Ram Raju joins several leaders from across the country as a member of the Board of Trustees for the American Hospital Association (AHA). The AHA aims to advance the health of individuals and communities across the U.S. Dr. Raju's three-year term will begin January 1, 2015.
New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation (HHC) President Dr. Ram Raju has been named to the Board of Trustees of the American Hospital Association. The Board of Trustees is the policy-making body of the AHA and has ultimate authority for the governance and management of its direction and finances. Dr. Raju's three-year term will begin January 1, 2015.
"AHA's commitment to improving and advancing the health of communities is a mission that must remain at the forefront of the nation's healthcare system," said Dr. Raju. "I am honored to join the AHA Board and look forward to collaborating with leaders from across the country to address current and future challenges facing our healthcare system."
In addition to sitting on the Board of Trustees at the AHA, Dr. Raju is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and member of the CEO forum, he also is the vice chair of Greater New York Hospital Association and a member of the board of America's Essential Hospitals and the Asian Health Care Leaders Association.
