Get help preparing for and connecting to a wide range of jobs across New York City.
Through the Workforce1 Career Center system, New Yorkers can get one-on-one career help to find jobs that are a good fit, prepare for interviews, and access free training. Services are free and available online, over the phone, or in-person at one of 18 Workforce1 Career Centers located across the five boroughs.
Anyone 18 years or older who is legally authorized to work in the US can use a Workforce1 Career Center. Specialized services at certain centers are available to those who are Veterans or the spouse of a Veteran, foreign-born, out of school / out of work youth 18-24, or justice-involved.
One-on-one appointments with Workforce1 are scheduled based on your availability within their operating hours, usually Monday through Friday, 9am–5pm. Workforce1 also hosts weekly group workshops. Schedules vary by center location.
Workforce1 delivers remote and online services through platforms approved by the ADA and the Mayors Office for People with Disabilities (for example, Zoom for group workshops).
Services are available in 25 languages in addition to English, as well as phone translation if the staff does not speak your preferred language.
