Vocational rehabilitation for people with disabilities

ACCES-VR helps people with disabilities age 14 and older get educational or job help. This might include job development, placement, and job coaching.

To apply or be referred for ACCES-VR services, you must be:

• have a disability that interferes with getting, keeping, or advancing in a job, and
• live in New York State
• Available to participate in the vocational rehabilitation process
• at least 14 years old
• able to work in the U.S.
  • Note: If you're not a U.S. Citizen, you must provide proof from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services that you're allowed to work in the United States.

If you provide proof that you get Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), you are presumed eligible for vocational rehabilitation services.
