If you are a job seeker, you're in the right place. Jobs NYC has partnered with NYC Children to bring 90 minute info session for Special Officer & Youth Development positions. They will also prescreen applicants interested in interviewing for the position and provide the forms to determine if you are qualified for the position. Applicants who attend these info sessions would just need to bring the following documents with them:
 

  • Updated Resume for Youth Development Specialist position (2 copies): A current version highlighting your relevant experience and skills. For each relevant employer, include the age range of the Juveniles or Young Adults you provided direct service for in the job duties & responsibilities section of your resume. (For Example: Obtained and coordinated resources to support youth aged 3-24 in multiple settings)

  • Updated Resume for Special Officer position (2 Copies): A current version highlighting your relevant experience and skills.
     
  • Proof of Education: Diploma, Degree and unofficial transcript with degree conferred. (If you completed your education outside of the United States, you must submit your Foreign Education Evaluation.)

  • Educational Transcripts: Unofficial Transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions you have attended showing a list of all courses taken, credits earned, grades received and the name of the degree earned (if any).

NYC Children Careers Info Session: Special OfficerThe Administration for Children’s Services is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Special Officer to serve within the ACS Police & Security Unit. Special Officers provide safety and security across ACS buildings and juvenile justice facilities. Key responsibilities include maintaining orderly environments, controlling site access points, screening visitors, monitoring security feeds, and responding directly to physical or safety incidents.

NYC Children Careers Info Session: Youth Development SpecialistThe Administration for Children’s Services is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Youth Development Specialist to serve within the Division of Youth and Family Justice. This position works as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide secure, safe care, and skill-based therapeutic interventions for pre-adjudicated and post-adjudicated youth in juvenile detention facilities and other ACS operated or managed juvenile justice facilities and programs.

We kindly ask that participants register for and attend only one of the two available time slots:

  • 10:00 AM - Special Officer
  • 1:00 PM - Youth Developemnt Specialist
