The Employee Assistance Program

Substance Use Disorders

The City of New York is concerned about the well being of its employees and their family members. Alcohol and substances misuse can have an enormous impact on work and family.  The cost to an individual can include the loss of wages, health related issues, personal and family problems. The disease can effect any individual regardless of age, race and ethnic group or income level.

If you or a family member has a problem with chemical dependency the NYC EAP can help. We offer free and confidential assistance.  If treatment is necessary the NYC EAP can assist in making a referral to a provider that is covered by your health benefits. The NYC EAP can be reached at (212) 306-7660 or e-mail eap@olr.nyc.gov

Employees of the Police Department may use their agency's EAP or the New York City EAP for Alcohol abuse treatment services. If you wish to access chemical dependency treatment services you must self-refer through your health plan.
