NYC Parks strives to help all New Yorkers discover how New York City's about 29,000 acres of parks can enrich their lives, promoting physical and emotional well-being, and providing venues for fitness and peaceful respite for the widest possible audience.

For an annual fee of only $25 for people with disabilities, NYC parks offers accessible facilities, adaptive hubs, adaptive events and programs and events in accessible locations.

The Highline

A 1.45 mile long New York City linear park built in Manhattan on an elevated section of a disused New York Central Railroad spur called the West Side Line. The highline is fully accessible with access points and restrooms.

Roberto Clemente State Park

Roberto Clemente State Park is a 25-acre waterfront park located along the Harlem River in the Bronx. The park offers a variety of recreational and cultural activities year-round for youth, adults, senior citizens with disabilities.

The New York Botanical Garden

The NY Botanical Garden has accessible buildings as well as tour vehicles, however due to the topography of the landscape some areas may be inaccessible. There are designated parking locations available near the Conservatory, Mosholu Gate, Watson Education Building and the NYBG parking garage. Manual Wheelchairs are available to borrow free of charge. They have induction loops installed at the main points of entry as well as on the trams. In addition assistive listening headsets are available. Large print transcripts are available of the tram tour. Audio tours are also available and accessible via cell phone.
