September 13, 2021

The FDNY will add the names of 25 members who died of illnesses related to their work in the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center to the FDNY World Trade Center Memorial Wall at an outdoor ceremony on Tuesday, September 14, at 4 p.m. at FDNY Headquarters – 9 MetroTech Center in Brooklyn. The ceremony can be viewed live on the Department’s website, www.nyc.gov/FDNY.

To date more than 257 FDNY members have died of World Trade Center related illnesses.

“On September 11, we lost 343 brave members, but our losses did not end that day.
