Fire Commissioner Daniel A. Nigro unveiled FDNY’s National EMS Week Poster on Wednesday, May 16th at FDNY Headquarters in celebration of national EMS Week, which begins on Sunday, May 21.
“Each year, this poster is a visible reminder to all who visit, live, and work in New York that FDNY is always ready to respond,” said Fire Commissioner Nigro. “And it shows the young men and women of our city that they too can grow up to save lives and serve as role models in their community, just like our members here.”
This year’s FDNY-developed poster’s theme is “Stronger Together”, demonstrating our EMTs, Paramedics, and Firefighters standing together, ready to respond to an emergency, as they do together more than 1.7 million times each year. The poster features EMTs Kelly Canham and Cosmo Jackson, Paramedic Mario Maldonado, and Firefighters Edil Montes Jr. and Andeudy Echevarria.
Designed and produced by Vanguard Direct, the poster is intended to raise awareness about the life-saving work of FDNY members and will be displayed in more than 100 kiosks citywide, which have been generously donated by Intersection.
