On Thursday, June 11, 2026, the FDNY held a fifth and final plaque dedication honoring FDNY responders who were retired when they answered the call on September 11, 2001, and died from WTC-related illnesses. The names added to the new memorial at the Department's Headquarters were retirees who reported for duty from Queens. Separate ceremonies were held on June 9 and June 10 for Manhattan, Bronx, and Staten Island.
