Mayor Zohran Mamdani joins Fire Commissioner Lillian Bonsignore to add 36 names to the FDNY WTC Memorial Wall at 2026 plaque dedication

On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, Mayor Zohran Mamdani joined Fire Commissioner Lillian Bonsignore, Chief of Department John Esposito, and FDNY families to add the names of 36 members to the FDNY World Trade Center Memorial Wall. The members died after battling illnesses related to their work in the rescue and recovery efforts following the September 11th terrorist attacks.
