FDNY and FDNY Foundation host 11th-annual Search & Rescue Field Medicine Symposium

Medical responders from military, federal, state, and local agencies gathered May 2-5, 2024, to participate in the 11th-annual FDNY Search and Rescue Field Medicine Symposium.

“The Search and Rescue Field Medicine Symposium brings together first responders to share best practices and new advancements. Every year, there are new tools and new approaches to add to the emergency response toolkit based on real situations that have occurred around the world,” Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanagh said. “We are grateful to the FDNY Foundation for its continued support behind this extensive program.”

The four-day event, put on yearly in partnership with the FDNY Foundation, brings together first responders to share experiences, best practices, and ideas. The event includes workshops, lectures, panel discussions, hands-on skills scenarios, and a vendor showcase.
