FDNY officials provide update on Bronx vehicle explosion that injured several firefighters

On Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, FDNY officials provided an update on a vehicle explosion that injured several firefighters at Box 2509 in the Bronx.

FDNY Chief of Department John Esposito said members responded to multiple calls for a fire in the Bronx on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025. When firefighters arrived, they found multiple cars and rubbish piles on fire.
