FDNY and FDNY Foundation Host First Ever High-Rise Symposium

Symposium Brings Together Experts from Across the World

The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) and the FDNY Foundation will host the first-ever FDNY High Rise Symposium, a three-day event bringing together fire service leaders and industry professionals from across the world to address the latest challenges and advancements in high-rise fire safety and operations. The event will take place from Friday, October 3, through Sunday, October 5, 2025.

Media are invited to attend the opening ceremony on Friday, October 3 at 8:00 a.m.

Firefighters, Fire Officers, and representatives from Germany, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, Finland, Mexico, Chile, and more than 50 Departments from throughout the United States are attending. The Symposium will include presentations and case studies on fire and life safety, the use of UAS and robotics in fire response, in-depth strategic and tactical procedures, Mega High-Rise buildings, building energy storage systems, terrorism preparedness, and fire codes.
