The G-42 Certificate of Fitness is required to use of LPG/CNG for all operations (asphalt melter or tar kettle and torch applied roof systems.)

This Certificate of Fitness is valid only for the specific person to whom it is issued and can be used anywhere within New York City. 

  • New Application Fees: $25
  • Renewal Fees: $15

  • Renewal Cycle: 3 Year

Before You Submit Your Application

This Certificate of Fitness can be obtained by passing a written exam or qualifying for an exemption on the basis of education and experience. All applicants should review the notice of exam and Study Materials.
