Hamilton Heights Containerization

Hamilton Heights was the first neighborhood in NYC to take part in a new program to get trash bags off the street and into bins.

As of June 1, 2025, the program fully transitioned to become part of the M9 Containerization Pilot.

For those properties that did not opt-in to Empire Bins, individual bins are now required for trash.

NOTE: Trash collection has returned to the regular 3 day a week service: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There is no change to your recycling and Curbside Composting service. Recycling and compost will continue to be collected on Fridays.
