Healthy Homes NYC is a free webinar developed by the Health Department and the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) for HPD-financed projects. It is intended for architects, general contractors and building owners/developers. The training focuses on healthy building practices during building design, construction and renovation and during on-going building operations and maintenance. The primary topic areas covered are: integrated pest management, healthy aging/falls prevention, and healthy building materials.
This training is a pre-requisite to the certification process for the Enterprise Green Communities Criteria for HPD financed projects. The training is also optional for other HPD Preservation Programs. A DOHMH certificate of completion will be issued after completing the webinar and taking and passing an online quiz. The certificate is valid for two years, after which it can be renewed by taking the Climate Ready Buildings training.
