Since 1996, DDC has delivered world-class infrastructure and public buildings for New York City. DDC’s responsibilities have continued to grow, and in that time, we have completed over 5000 projects and seen our portfolio’s value expand to $34 billion.
The project will construct five new public restroom buildings in several locations: Murphy Brothers Playground and East River Park, both in Manhattan; Kissena Park and Brookville Park, both in Queens; and Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
Five projects are proceeding in the agency’s new Construction Manager-Build (CM-Build) pilot program, taking advantage of a legislative victory in Albany that allows DDC to use the faster and more efficient method of construction for projects at libraries and cultural institutions.
Effective December 30, 2024, all bids and proposals for construction projects must include a copy of the bidder or proposer’s certificate of registration with the New York State Department of Labor (DOL). This requirement stems from Section 220-i of the Labor Law. Information on the DOL registration process and the portal to register can be found on the DOL's Contractor and Subcontractor website.
