1. A public servant cannot supervise – or be supervised by – their spouse, domestic partner, child, parent, or sibling.
2. A public servant cannot take any official action that would affect the employment of their spouse, domestic partner, child, parent, or sibling, including participating in their hiring, performance evaluation, discipline, or promotion.
3. A public servant cannot supervise or take any official action affecting certain in-laws, namely the spouse or domestic partner of their child or sibling.
4. A public servant can work for the same City agency, and even in the same office, as a family member so long as the public servant abides by the above restrictions.
