This report was conceived and co-authored by Arun Peter Lobo, with individual chapters co-written in collaboration with Eric Ketcham, Donnise Hurley, Erica Maurer, Stephen Wolkwitz, and Joel Alvarez—all part of the Population Division of the New York City Department of City Planning. The authors also prepared the tables, charts, and maps incorporated into the chapters.

Donnise Hurley engineered both the interactive HTML and print versions, implementing all aspects of its programming, data visualization, book design, style guide, and color scheme. Summer interns Russell Kwong and Mariel Martinez Ledezma developed the code for automating the mapmaking process and adapted the interactive HTML version for print, respectively.

Eric Ketcham, Anna Bokun, and Erica Maurer provided detailed editorial feedback across the book and reviewed the narrative structure for clarity, with contributions from Stephen Wolkwitz and Donnise Hurley. Charles Christonikos optimized maps and checked for their statistical reliability.
