NBHN Receives 2011 NAPH Safety Net Patient Safety Award
The North Bronx Healthcare Network’s Women’s Health Service recently received the prestigious National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems (NAPH) Safety Net Patient Safety Award for its Reducing Adverse Outcomes on Labor and Delivery initiative. The NAPH’s Safety Net Awards Ceremony recognizes those organizations which have been recognized for best practices by implementing the best safety initiatives using evidence-based guidelines.

Great Hospitals Have Great Nurses...
...great nurses have great uniforms! In an effort to help patients differentiate and identify staff, North Central Bronx Hospital recently unveiled a new color-coded uniform system. As of April 4th, RNs and LPNs will now wear ceil blue or white uniforms. Ancillary nursing personnel will wear navy blue uniforms.

NBHN Welcomes New Chairman of Medicine
Jacobi Medical Center and North Central Bronx Hospital recently appointed Stephan L. Kamholz, MD, MACP, FCCP as the new Chairman of the Department of Medicine. Dr. Kamholz is also Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Assistant Dean for the Jacobi campus.
