DCP stands against racism and white supremacy, dominance, oppression, and violent attacks.

All too often, we find ourselves confronting racially motivated hate speech and violence aimed at BIPOC communities simply because of the color of their – and our – skin. DCP stands against racism and white supremacy, dominance, oppression, and violent attacks. Racism is a shameful, hateful legacy of our nation’s history – and yet it continues to be passed down, and tolerated, through successive generations to this day. It ruins and takes human life, it threatens our communities, and it’s part of everyday experiences. In sarcastic quips, anonymous virtual rants, and violent attacks, racism insidiously allows perpetrators to undermine our humanity.

Physical violence against BIPOC community members, or anyone, is unquestionably traumatic and will not be tolerated. Not in Midtown, not in Minneapolis, not in Atlanta, not anywhere in the United States of America. Nor will verbal attacks be tolerated, including those aimed at DCP staff who work tirelessly with the public in communities throughout the city to plan for a fairer New York.
