A formal Zoning Verification Letter (ZVL) can be provided by our Zoning Division for a fee of $110 for each letter. 

To request a ZVL, please fill out the online form at the following address: https://forms.gle/D7yZmWdw6bZWAPd29

In addition to filling out the online form, a check for $110, made out to the "NYC Department of City Planning" must be submitted for each request. Please include the borough, block and lot for the request on the check's memo line. The check must be mailed to:

Please allow 10 business days from the time the payment is received for the issuance of the zoning verification letter.

ATTENTION: As the Department of City Planning takes precautions against the spread of COVID-19, please expect some delays in processing times for zoning verification letters. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The Department of City Planning accepts fee payment through NYC Planning Applicants. After submitting your land use or CEQR application, you will receive an invoice, based on your submitted information. NYC Planning Applicants will provide the option of paying via:

  • e-Check (no processing fee, no limit)
  • Credit Card (2% processing fee, $99,999.99 limit per transaction)
  • PayPal (2% processing fee, $59,999.99 limit per transaction)
  • Venmo (2% processing fee, $59,999.99 limit per transaction)

To comment on an active land use application, please use our City Planninc Commission Comments form to submit your comments to the City Planning Commission. All comments submitted through the form will be accepted until 11:59 PM, the week before the date of vote..

    DSF Information for the Department of City Planning

    Local Law 27 amends the Administrative Code of the City of New York, in relation to the designation of Disability Service Facilitators at City agencies. The law instructs each City agency to designate an employee as the Agency’s Disability Service Facilitator.  This individual ensures the  Agency complies with and  carries out its responsibilities under the ADA and other Federal, State, and Local Laws and regulations concerning accessibility for persons with disabilities.
