The New York City Young Men's Initiative (YMI) works to address disparities and establish a cradle-to-career pipeline among young men and boys of color, ages 5-30. YMI develops and champions policies, programs, and partnerships that holistically support the success of young people throughout the city. Its portfolio includes initiatives on quality education and access, quality healthcare, built environments, social and community context, and economic stability.
NYC Opportunity has worked closely with YMI since its launch in 2011, helping to establish the office and to implement dozens of human services programs and systems change initiatives. We continue to partner with YMI on the design, management, and evaluation of select initiatives.
