Renew Your City of New York Press Card
The PCO is accepting renewal applications through our online system beginning July 5th, 2024 based on the first letter of your last name. Please consult the timetable provided below.
PLEASE NOTE:
If you are issued a Press Card by MOME's Press Credentials Office on or after July 5, 2024 and your Press Card expires on January 15, 2025, you DO NOT have to submit a renewal application. Your Press Card will be automatically extended to January 15, 2027. You will receive a notice to pick-up your updated Press Card in Jan 2025.

- Please submit your application based on the above schedule. You may submit your application before or during your designated window.
- Renewal applications submitted after the designated windows above or after Dec 16, 2024 are not guaranteed to be processed by Jan 15th, 2025.
- All renewal Press Cards will be distributed mid-January 2025 regardless of when the renewal application was processed.
- Please refer to the video guides on how to navigate the Press Card Application Portal.
- Expired press cards must be surrendered to the PCO at the time a renewal press card is issued. Please be sure to follow directions for a Lost/Stolen Press Cards.
