Housing Retention and Stabilization Service Providers PQL

This Pre-Qualified List (PQL) of Housing Retention and Stabilization Services Providers is the result of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) that seeks to establish a list of Qualified Housing Retention and Stabilization Services providers that HPD designates as qualified to assist formerly homeless households moving into HPD-assisted New Construction projects. The purpose is to assist these households to a) make a successful transition to permanent housing, and b) maintain tenancy in the affordable housing unit, and c) achieve further stabilization via a connection to additional services.

Mission and Experience: Our mission is to move New Yorkers who are unhoused or at risk of homelessness into safe, sustainable housing by quickly connecting them to available units with quality landlords. We blend public and private funding into one “pool” used to quickly house individuals and families with vouchers. This funding enables a “whatever it takes” approach that can pay for utility arrears, furniture, apartment repairs, moving costs, accessibility modifications, missed payments from the government—anything that is a barrier to bringing an apartment online, moving people out of shelter, and helping them avoiding a return to homelessness.

Special Populations Expertise: Since 1969, Settlement Housing Fund, Inc. (SHF) has worked to create and sustain high quality affordable housing and programs to build strong and economically diverse neighborhoods throughout NYC. Mission and Experience: St. Nicks Alliance (SNA) transforms the lives of Brooklyn communi􀆟es through employment, educa􀆟on, housing, and health care delivering impactful services to over 17,000 individuals annually. SNA has expertise providing services in housing to older adults, formerly homeless and those with chronic medical conditions. SNA developed five senior housing residences, serves seniors throughout its 800+ units of family housing and provides health focused social services to 2600+ seniors in the NORC at Lindsey Park. SNA’s scattered-site supportive housing serves 450+ individuals and families living with chronic medical conditions many who also have behavioral health and/or substance use concerns.
