FDNY Commissioner Robert S. Tucker to Preside Over Promotion Ceremony for FDNY Members

The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) Commissioner Robert S. Tucker will preside over a promotion ceremony and swearing in for 83 members on Thursday, July 24 at 10 a.m. at the Ocean Breeze Track and Field Facility on Staten Island. The ceremony can be viewed live on the Department’s website at www.nyc.gov/FDNY or HERE.

Five Battalion Chiefs will be promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief, 16 Captains will be promoted to the rank of Battalion Chief, one Supervising Fire Marshal will be promoted to Supervising Fire Marshal Level 2, 56 Firefighters will be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, one Marine Wiper will be promoted to the rank of Marine Assistant Engineer, and two firefighters will be promoted to Marine Wipers. Two new FDNY Chaplains will be sworn in at the ceremony.

The newly promoted members will be assigned to units throughout New York City.
