FDNY Commissioner Robert S. Tucker to Preside Over Graduation Ceremony for 139 Probationary Emergency Medical Technicians

The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) Commissioner Robert S. Tucker will preside over a graduation ceremony for Probationary Emergency Medical Technicians on Tuesday, June 17th at 10 a.m. at the Christian Cultural Center, 12020 Flatlands Ave, Brooklyn. The ceremony can be viewed live on the Department’s website at www.nyc.gov/FDNY or HERE.

The class trained at the EMS Academy for 16 weeks. Training skills include CPR; patient medical and trauma assessments; oxygen and ventilation skills; management of hypotension and fractures; spinal immobilization and emergency childbirth; and emergency vehicle operation.

The new EMTs will be assigned to units throughout New York City.
