FDNY Commissioner Robert S. Tucker to Preside Over Promotion Ceremony for 97 Members of Fire Operations

The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) Commissioner Robert S. Tucker will preside over a promotion ceremony for 97 members of Fire Operations on Tuesday, January 7th at 10 a.m. at the Ocean Breeze Track and Field Facility. The ceremony can be viewed live on the Department's website at www.nyc.gov/FDNY or HERE.

One Deputy Assistant Chief will be promoted to Assistant Chief, four Deputy Chiefs will be promoted to the rank of Deputy Assistant Chief, five Battalion Chiefs will be promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief, 17 Lieutenants will be promoted the rank of Captain, 64 Firefighters will be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, four firefighters will be promoted to Marine Wipers, and two Fire Marshals will be promoted to Supervising Fire Marshals.

Among the promoted members are three legacies, the children of FDNY members killed in the line of duty or who have died of World Trade Center illnesses.
